NEWLY-elected Goroka MP Aiye Tambua says apart from delivering basic services to the people, he would like to help women in small and medium enterprises in his electorate.
“Currently, we have SME broad programmes. But what I want to do now is to break it down specifically to women in SME, women who are struggling,” he told The National on Tuesday on the sidelines of his swearing-in by Speaker Job Pomat in Port Moresby.
“Those who are widows and are doing business, I want to target them,” Tambua said.
He said he wanted to provide these women an opportunity to earn money in line with the Government’s goal of taking back PNG.
