New side joins industrial touch

THE Mineral Resources Development Company is a new affiliate of the Port Moresby Industry Touch Association.
On Sunday, corporation staff members and their spouses will get their first taste of touch football at Coronation Primary School oval.
Association president Joe Yore welcomed MRDC joining TNT Air Cargo, Madza BT 50, Pacific MMI, The National, AON Hewitt, NPC PNG, WRC Carpenters, VJM Recruitment and Nasfund in a competition meant to interact and foster a healthier lifestyle.
Yore has included a new stock of players in his training squad and the MRDC’s involvement will see another set to be tapped and identified for selection.
He said the matches would touch off at midday in the open mixed division between champions TNT and Pacific MMI.
That will be followed by NPC PNG and WRC Carpenters,then MRDC plays AON, VJM Recruitment face The National and  the Mazda BT 50 take on  the Nasfund side.
The open women’s competition  starts at 2pm and then the open men’s at 3.50pm.
“All teams and players are advised to be in sports attire only on the field of play,” Yore warned all sides.
