New stationery items for agro department

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO ) PNG Office has donated stationery items worth around K12,000 to the Department of Agriculture and Livestock for Apec 2018.
Head of the FAO PNG Office, Ken Shimizu, said the donation was a gesture from the FAO in supportingthe department in its efforts to plan, organize and prepare for agriculture and food security meetings during Apec 2018.
Shimizu said FAO was appreciative of and recognized the important role of DA L in working closely with the PNG APEC Secretariat,
PNG Apec Coordinating Authority, APEC Secretariat, relevant government agencies and stakeholders in participating and ensuring a successful Apec 2018.
He said the donation was also a gesture from FAO for kindly hosting the PNG Office within the DA L headquarters at the Central Government Office, Waigani.
DA L Secretary, Dr Vele Pat Ila’ava, in accepting the donation, thanked FAO for its assistance and assured Shimizu that the stationeries and related items will definitely boost the DA L Apec technical and logistics committee in its preparations.
The donated items included a printer, photocopier, flashdrives, toners, ink cartridges, laptop, photocopy paper and others.
