New US visa fees for PNG citizens in force soon

THE United States visa fee for non-immigrant visa (NIV) categories for Papua New Guinea citizens will come to effect next Month.
The following visa reciprocity schedule for NIV categories for PNG citizens will come into effect in March 4.
These changes will increase the fee and, or decrease the validity for the visa categories below, and are commensurate to those imposed by the Government of Papua New Guinea on US citizens.
Former reciprocity fees with validities are in parentheses.

  • B-1 (short term business (K525.13) single 1 month (3 months);
    B1/B2 (short-term business/tourist) (K525.13) single 1 month (3 months);
  • B1/B2 (long-term business/ tourist) K1087.29 (K589.09) multiple 12 months;
  • H-1B (speciality occupation work) K986.30 (K525.13) multiple 36 months;
  • I (foreign media/press) K1087.29 (K525.13) single 2 months (3 months)
  • L-1 (intra-company transferee) K986.30 (K525.13) multiple 36 months; and,
  • L-2 (spouse/shild of L-1) K986.30 (K525.13) multiple 36 months.
