THE LALOKI Hospital will reopen tomorrow after an agreement is signed on the day for water to be supplied by Eda Ranu.
Hospital clinical supervisor Jeffery Alphonse said a team from the Health Department led by Minister Sir Puka Temu visited the hospital on Good Friday to assure the management that water would be supplied, with a memorandum of agreement to be signed tomorrow between the department and Eda Ranu.
According to Alphonse, Sir Puka advised the staff to keep the hospital closed while they sorted issues out, saying that he would communicate with Minister for Public Enterprises and State Investment William Duma as Eda Ranu came under this ministry, so that necessary steps were taken to restore water supply after 19 years.
“Now that our demand has been heard, where a MOA would be signed, we plan to open the hospital gate for re-admission of our patients, and also for new admissions,” Alphones said.
