Newsman reinstated, PM calls for enquiry into sacking

PRIME Minister James Marape has called for a full inquiry into the sacking of EMTV news editor Neville Choi.
However, last night Choi was reinstated but told that the reinstatement would be investigated by the company
Choi was recently appointed a member of the Censorship Board.
“I’ve asked Communications and Energy Minister Rainbo Paita to check the matter,” Marape said.
“If there is any element of truth in him being sacked unnecessarily, then I’ve asked for him to be restored.
“If it’s truly a disciplinary matter that qualifies in every sense, a disciplinary matter is something beyond my control.”
