A NON-GOVERNMENT organisation has received a timely donation to fund its programmes for next year.

Ginigoada Bisnis Development Foundation received K21,474.50 from Jinyn Development Ltd, W.J Niugini Ltd, Wantok Trading Ltd, YM Enterprise Ltd, and Wanwok Trading Ltd.

Ginigoada assistant team leader for the future skills programme Rodney Graham said the money would be used to support the young life (bus 1) programme.

“The programme was originally funded through the Asia Foundation and is currently supported by NCD Governor Powes Parkop,” Graham said.

He said the Laikim Laip Projects, Young Life (Bus 1) was launched in 2010 for children aged between 5-16  who are not in any formal education system.

The programme visits up to 11 different locations each year delivering a 4 week (20 day) introduction.
