EDRIC Kelai has been appointed the new board chairman of the NHC (National Housing Corporation.
Minister of Housing and Urbanisation John Kaupa said the statutory body needed a policy restructure.
“We need to bring back the integrity of the department and the board that has been missing will do the administrative work,” he said.
He said many homes were built decades ago using old building models.
The NHC aims to provide affordable homes to the people.
Kelai said the board as a whole needed to carry out the work.
“We have to deliver what we are mandated to do, provide houses for everyone and not just public servants,” he said.
