THE National Housing Corporation is investigating how the title of a State land in Lae was transferred to a company.
NHC provincial manager in Lae Matthew Limu said they had no record of any disposal, contract of sale or transaction on the assets at Section 1, Allotment 75 on Half Street in Lae.
Limu said they were trying to find out which State authority transferred the land title to the company.
“I need to know why State assets should be sold, the valuation records, legal processes involved and the witnesses to endorse the disposal of State assets,” Limu said.
He said the properties at Half Street remained State assets under a “blanket title” and the NHC was mandated to manage them.
