Nipa-Kutubu MP to support small business operators

NIPA-KUTUBU MP Jeffery Komal (pictured), plans to support small to medium enterprises in the district because they create employment and economic growth. omal said he had supported building contractors to construct classrooms, teachers’ houses, aid posts and quarters for public servants.
“Many of the youths have been engaged by the contractors and earned a living,” he said.
“I want that to continue to stop the urban drift.  The bulk of the population lives in rural areas and unemployment has led to the urban drift. Supporting locally-owned businesses is of paramount importance to keep the youths busy.
“The small to medium enterprises sector especially the informal sector and micro-enterprises must be supported as they play a crucial role in fostering growth, income and employment opportunities.”
