NOMINATIONS are now open for this year’s “Westpac women in business awards”.
For the third consecutive year, the award will recognise outstanding women in the country in five separate categories from the public, private, government and not-for-profit sectors.
There is also a special award recognising outstanding achievement by a young woman under the age of 30.
The overall winner would receive a crystal trophy; a Brian Bell gift voucher valued at K2,800; airfares, accommodation, meals and registration fees to attend the 2010 Australia PNG business forum in Australia and in one of Westpac’s learn, lead and succeed events in Australia next year.
Nomination forms are available online at westpac.com.pg and from all Westpac branches.
Entry is free and open to any PNG woman 18 years and over.
Nominations close on Sept 10 with winners being announced at the Westpac women in business awards dinner presentation in Port Moresby on Oct 21.
Last year’s Westpac women in business winner Monica Nita said winning the award motivated her to do more in life, work and business.
“I encourage every woman in PNG to enter the 2009 Westpac women in business awards.
“The awards aim to lift the profile of women and assist in establishing networks that help women reach their goals.
“We’re proud to play a part in facilitating this and contributing to the well-being of the community that we’ve served for the past 100 years and for more to come,” Ross Hammond, Managing director, Westpac PNG Ltd, said.
