North Fly to start counting

COUNTING of the 55 ballot boxes for the North Fly electorate in Western province starts today.
The electorate is made up of the Star Mountains, Olsobip, Ningerum, Kiunga urban, Kiunga rural and parts of Nomad and Lake Murray local level governments.
Polling in the electorate has been completed.
A source who did not want to be named said counting officials, including presiding officers, had undergone training yesterday at the Papua New Guinea Defence Force Forward Operations Base in Kiunga where the count would be held.
He could not confirm whether counting would start this morning or in the afternoon.
