THE Works Department does not have the money to repair, upgrade or build roads throughout the country, Works Minister Michael Nali says.
He said there were 9000km of road that needed rehabilitation or had to be built but his office did not have enough money for the work.
However, he said they had delivered many of road projects and people should appreciate that.
“We just launched the road project in Goroka and the next project will be at the 9-Mile-to-Wau, Bulolo stretch,” he said.
“We have already paid for and work on the Bougainville road, which will resume soon.”
“And we are also working on roads from
Mt Hagen to Hela.”
