Not happy with court decision

Letters

I AM frightened to learn that a magistrate in Lae struck out an attempted murder case.
The magistrate told the accused that they were lucky that the court was releasing them.
The magistrate cautioned them to stay away trouble.
While we appreciate the court’s decision, we think it is not fair because victim’s eye was badly injured from a garden fork used by the accused.
The victim was attacked with bush knives and iron rods.
Their action constitutes to attempted murder.
They should have been sentenced to jail.
It is very contradicting because in other similar cases, some magistrates were tough on the accused.
