THE National Research Institute hosted a forum to discuss the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) draft.
The draft outlines ICAC’s functions, jurisdictions and its operations.
The forum was held to gauge views from different government and non-government organisations that spoke strongly against corruption over the years.
National Research Institute acting director Dr Charles Yala said the forum was organised to discuss key issues with regards to ICAC.
Yala said in discussing important issues, two brains were better than one.
“That is the reason why we invited other dignitaries and the media to come so we can discuss such important issues,” Yala said.
“Corruption is like a termite, once it enters a good tree and lays its nest before you know it the tree will be rotten and fall,” Yala said.
