THE NSW Country U23s squad arrives in Port Moresby today at 12.35pm.
PNGRFL public relations manager Ephata Samuel said former NRL referee Shane Hayne, pictured, would be travelling up with the contingent.
“The media are most welcome to come to the airport and meet the team and interview some of the players and coaches,” Samuel said in an email.
Samuel added that former Australian Kangaroos and NSW Blues back-rower Andrew Ryan was the assistant coach of the team.
The other former NRL players that are part of the coaching staff are Adam Perry (Bulldogs) and coach Josh Cale (Roosters/Bulldogs).
The team is captained by centre Ryley Thomas and includes 2018 Country Player of the year in Caleb Ziebell.
