NZ focusing on quality, not quantity for Apec

NEW Zealand will have “a good size delegation” for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Summit in November, High Commissioner Sue Mackwell says.
Mackwell told The National that New Zealand had a big delegation for the Senior Leaders’ Meetings and all related meetings throughout the year.
Asked about Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s attendance, Mackwell said: “I can’t imagine that she’s not coming, I’m sure she will be coming and we all look forward to that.”
Ardern is the only women prime minister in the Apec economies. Carrie Lam is the chief executive of Hong Kong and she is also attending.
“We are looking at a good-sized delegation for us which is nothing like the Americans, the Chinese or the Australians – ours is relatively modest, we go for quality rather than quantity,” Mackwell said.
