Officer fined K600 for discharging firearm

A POLICEMAN was convicted and fined K600 for unlawful discharging a firearm in Port Moresby.
According to a police report, the police officer was convicted and ordered to pay a fine of K600 for unlawfully firing a gun.
The suspect was attached to the Laloki police post. He was convicted by the Boroko District Court on Feb 11.
He unlawfully discharged a high-powered rifle at the Ilimo Elementary School, on the outskirts of Port Moresby.
A complaint was lodged with the Policing the Police Task Force Team and he was arrested and charged under the Firearms Act.
