Officials sent to investigate riot

 THE Department of Education will send officers to Wabag, Enga to resolve the Kopen Secondary School incident, Minister for Education Nick Kuman says. 

Kuman made that announcement at a media conference in the National Capital District yesterday. 

He said the appointment of two principals to the secondary school had resulted in a tribal warfare and destruction of government property by students. 

He said the department decided to send two senior officers with a team to Wabag and work with police and local authorities to bring about some understanding and normalcy at the school. He said the officers would work with the provincial education authorities.
