OCEANIA Fight Promotions is looking forward to holding its events that have been deferred due to the general election and passing of company patron, the late Ben Micah.
Managing director Maryanne Millie told The National on Monday that her company would adjust its calendar and announce the dates for several professional boxing events.
“We will move forward with more local events and plan for some major international events that we will announce when they’re confirmed,” she said.
“So far, seven male bouts and one female fight are in our tentative draw for November. We will release the draw before the end of this week.
“We would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support and would also like to invite other sponsors to come on board as we strive to build champions in the country.”
Under Micah, the last professional bout organised was in October, 2021, where national lightweight champion Kauka Raka Jr lost his World Boxing Association Asia title bout to Filipino Roldan Aldea.
Millie said the company was willing to continue working with Raka to secure bouts.
