‘Online marketing efficient’

ONLINE marketing is a fast and effective way for any individual or group to sell their products, an official says.
Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation (SMEC) director corporate affairs, Rodney Sumale said it was difficult sell products by conventional mean these days but using online marketing allowed one to reach a wide audience.
“In today’s time and age, you can sell anything anywhere,” he said.
“Using online platforms, businesses transactions are done more efficiently compared to the past.”
Sumale said SMEC was planning on venturing into providing more opportunities for young Papua New Guineans to not only market their products but also think out of the ordinary to create smarter services and better products. He said SMEC was always ready to help small businesses grow by providing trainings and also market opportunities to grow and expand their businesses.
“SMEC is planning on establishing ‘Business Incubation Centres’ for locals around the country,” he said.
“It would be like giving them a whole new dimension to develop new ideas over time and creating products that are extraordinary.”
Meanwhile, Sumale clarified that the current incubation centre at 6-Mile was set up by the National Capital District and the Moresby North East development authority and not by the SMEC.
