The school’s principal, Martin Dai said: “With the theme, Joy and Holiness with you, too, it expects us to be holy in whatever we do and be happy always and optimistic”.
He said the main event of the foundation day will be celebrated with a Culture-Expo on Friday.
Dai said the school has never had a culture expo before and have invited the Tourism Promotion Authority to be the judge for the expo.
“The idea is that our home provinces is more than just the cultural dances we see year in and year out,” he said.
“We are doing it in a way to present all the different crafts and artefacts of our country which will help our boys know and also train them to make a living.”

An open house during the family and gratitude day gave the students’ family an idea of what their children do in their specialised trade areas in information technology (IT), electrical, maintenance fitting and machining (MFM) and motor vehicle mechanics. Mother of a Grade 10 IT student at the family day, Emily Kevaugelu said: “After going through the open house, I really appreciate what the school is doing for my son.” In the coming days, the school will host an inter-school dance contest, academia or stage show on the life of Bartolome Marquez, school mass and sports and close off with the main event on Friday.
“The celebration is all for Don Bosco who has inspired the teachings of our school,” Dai said.
