PAPUA NEW GUINEA and Greece (Hellenic Republic) have yet to fully exploit the respective opportunities they have through cultural and business cooperation.
Papua New Guinea’s Ambassador to the European Union and Greece Joshua Kalinoe said this when he met the chief of protocol, Dionyssios Kyvetos, before presenting his letters of credentials to the president of the Hellenic Republic Prokopias Paylopoulos in Athens recently.
Kalinoe said Greece had some of the best tourist destinations in Western Europe and could share the experience it had in developing its tourism industry with PNG.
Pavlopoulos reminded them of countries working together to address challenges facing the world today through maintaining democratic principles.
“We live in difficult times and countries of the world should work together to improve on human dignity and prosperity of all peoples,” Pavlopoulos said.
Kalinoe met with senior foreign service officers and exchanged views on facilitating cultural and business ties between the two countries.
