Paita, other young MPs doing great

Letters

I MET Finschhafen MP Rainbo Paita in 2007 when he was our student representative council president at Goroka Secondary School.
He always led by example in sports, religion, social and academic activities.
He did not speak much but was very active in leading the students.
Sometime later in 2010, I met him at Vision City while he was a student at the University of Papua New Guinea. He called me by my name and greeted me.
What a memory this young leader has, I thought to myself after I left him.
Nature was slowly nurturing and building Paita to be a national leader.
I had no idea that he was going to become an MP.
After being elected into Parliament, he delivered infrastructure development to his people.
Paita’s leadership speaks for itself.
We have a few leaders like Paita who are young and able to perform well.
They have done well even during their first term in Parliament.
Examples are Dr Lino Tom (Wabag MP) and Aiye Tambua (Goroka MP). Congratulations to these leaders who are focused on serving the people.
