SP Port Moresby Rugby League competition leaders Paga Panthers thrashed Hohola Flies 50-4 in women’s competition at the National Football Stadium’s field 2 on Sunday.
This also earned the unbeaten Panthers Paga the minor premiership and number one spot on the ladder with the rest of the top six to be confirmed at tonight’s delegates meeting at the NFS.
Paga scored 10 tries through Mala Mark (2), Roswita Kapo (2), Leila Korowa (2), Catherine Anjo (2), Elvina Hetra, Bethshiba Awoi while Kapo kicked four conversions and Mark added one as well.
Flies’ try was scored by Lorina Karo.
Paga lead 20-4 at halftime and piled on another 30 points in the final 20 minutes.
Paga’s national representatives Janet Johns, Kapo, Awoi, Hetra and former winger Mark led the team in the one-sided affair.
In the other match which will decide spots in the women’s top six, Sisters edged Tarangau 6-4.
