THE people of Papa village, Central, received K100,000 from its  landowner company Veadi Holdings Ltd in a special presentation ceremony held in the village on Saturday.
Various amounts were presented in cheques to 31 social groups which included youth groups, women groups and various sports teams in the village.
Other cheques were made to the village primary and elementary schools, health centre, bible college and churches.
The presentation was made by Veadi Holdings chairman Nao Nao in front of a good crowd of villagers.
Nao said during the presentation that the funds presented were  revenue generated from the quarry tonnage fees paid by contractor company, Leighton-Wagner PNG, tasked to develop the PNG LNG plant site facility at portion 152 near the village.
He said the company was on track since it was registered in 2009 as a landowner company representing the Papa village and portion 152 project sites.
He said that out the three Motu-Koitabu impact villages, Veadi Holdings took the lead to serve its village people in any spin-off benefits it received in the early works of the project.
He also thanked sister company, Papa Resource Development Ltd (PRDL), for working alongside with Veadi Holdings to serve the people of Papa.
PRDL chairman Heni Goro said Papa village was fortunate to have two landowner companies representing the people.
