Parkop to launch Fifa’s Live Your Goals programme

PAPUA New Guinea Football Association president David Chung and NCD Governor Powes Parkop will launch the Fifa’s Live your Goals programme at Sir John Guise Stadium, Port Moresby on Sunday.
The hugely popular Fifa women’s football development programme Live Your Goals is one of the major legacy initiatives being implemented in the country in the lead-up to and following, the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
The launch will coincide with NCDC Govenor Powes Parkop’s health initiative, ‘Walk for Life’.
The objectives of Live Your Goals are to increase the participation of girls and women in soccer; increase the popularity of women’s football locally, nationally; globally, spark, foster and generate excitement about women’s football; create the best platforms for women’s football to thrive with more females becoming lifelong participants in the sport; and ensure that football is the number one sport for females across the globe in terms of participation and popularity. The programme on Sunday will included opening speeches followed by official launching by Chung and Governor Parkop.
After the launch there will be Festival Football activities before the conclusion just before midday.
