Pastor: Let go of your past

Faith

THE future of the people will be difficult if they continue looking back at past problems and failures, a senior pastor says.
Chairman of the Body of Christ Pastor Joseph Walters, in a recent sermon, quoted from Isaiah 43 (18-20): “Do not think of the things of your past or hold tightly to the things of hold, God said He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Walters said God was interested in one’s future and destiny, rescuing one from a hopeless situation.
“If you allow past problems and failures to affect you, then the future will be difficult,” he said.
“God can do some new things to your future if you are prepared to let go of your past experiences and embrace positive things for your future.
“Put your faith to work, even in impossible situations, and see God make a way of escape for you no matter how hopeless your situations may be.”
He said the Bible was full of stories of how God turned impossible situations into possible situations.
