CITY Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) Group chairman Mahesh Patel has been named the director of the year by the PNG Institute of Directors (PNGID) last May 27 in Port Moresby.
Patel was voted by fellow members from the association.
He is pictured with Richard Kassman, the vice-president of PNGID during the awards night.
In his remarks, Patel credited sound business strategies as well as committed hardworking management for the success of CPL Group. 
CPL Group is PNG’s biggest retailer and is the umbrella organisation of City Pharmacy, Stop‘N Shop, Hardware Haus and the newly opened Boncafe at Waigani.
