PAU developing students spiritually

THE Pacific Adventist University says its strong academic programmes are supported by maintaining its spiritual programmes on campus and community outreach.
Director of Student Services Pastor Thomas Davai said: “The importance of leading students to know and experience Jesus Christ as their personal saviour is important. PAU’s goal number one is experiencing Jesus by all students and staff of the university.”
Davai said the university had appointed people to lead the spiritual programmes to nurture the growth and development of the members of the church particularly with the students being the main custodians.
“Recently we had more than 100 leaders of the university church having a spiritual retreat,” he said.
“During the retreat, training programmes for elders, deacons/deaconesses and various church departmental workers were conducted.”
Davai said some of the students were accepted to take up leadership roles in some programmes on campus to help their fellow students.
“The students were impressed and thanked the organisers for allowing them to be trained for the Lord’s service,” Davai said.
The training programme will now become an annual event for PAU.
