Pay police reservists on time

Letters

I am concerned about burden and stress that our recent police reservists passouts in Morobe face are during the on-the-job training.
I feel for those reservists because being a relative of one of these policemen, I witnessed the hardship faced during duties after passing out which involved their monthly allowance.
A service to government is a service to the community, province and the country as a whole.
I write as a concerned citizen of this country with pride and patriotism for the good, hard work the police reservists are doing.
My concern is at least the authorities concerned in facilitating their monthly allowance should pay them in a timely manner as this will also boost their morale.
Some of these police reservists have families to take care of and such a delay in their allowances is putting a strain on their lives which greatly affects their performance.
I call upon the concern authorities who are directly responsible to fast track the payments of their allowances.
