People becoming too lazy

Letters

I NOTICED many changes along the Highlands Highway when I was travelling last Christmas Eve.
Those living along the highway are really into vending beside the road.
They built a lot of temporary huts, unlike before, for travellers on the highway.
Indeed, any foreigner can easily conclude just by looking, that the urgency or the desperation of the need for money by our people, is realistically crucial.
These people value the need for money over their health!
They operate all day and every day.
They mostly sell store goods such as soft drinks, biscuits and others.
Unfortunately, fresh vegetables and crops from the soil are of limitation.
That tells me that are lazy nowadays.
They do not want to waste time in getting dirt on their hands by planting cash crops that will take months and years to give them money.
They want to buy and sell fast money-making goods such as betel nut, smoke, alcohol and other processed goods.
We are feeding foreigners to become richer by buying their products.
We are becoming slaves to them in our own freedom land!
We are demeaning our own potential of becoming rich and powerful.
The love of fast money is degrading our potential.
We are stepping on our own soil but we are bowing down to foreigners because of our own laziness and the love of making easy fast money.
