PEOPLE in rural and urban areas deserve quality and affordable medical treatment, according to Dr Andrew Masta of the City Specialists Medical Centre.

Masta told The National on Tuesday that the centre tried its best to ensure the services it provided complemented public hospitals.

“We continue to provide quality specialist medical care to the communities and external agencies and strive for excellence, build on our strength as leaders in clinical care,” he said.

The medical centre is a private company formerly known as Port Moresby Private Specialists Medical Centre. It has recently been relocated to the Round House Complex in Okari Street, Boroko.

The business started in 1998 and in 2006 moved to a building owned by Independent Public Business Corporation on Taurama Road.

The medical centre is made up of two subsidiary businesses operating within the facility – City X-Ray and EVAL diagnostics.

“The services we provide include general medical care, general practitioner services, Australian Visa medical services and corporate client services.”
