- I can’t wait for the top-of-the-table Southern Conference clash between Genesis and Hekari United. Genesis skipper Yvonne Gabong and Hekari captain Marie Kaipu will be looking to get their teams on the front foot from the get-go.
- I hate to be in Chelsea boss Frank Lampard’s shoes right now.
- Can’t wait for the Super Rugby to kick off. It’ll probably be the Aussie and Kiwi teams in a trans Tasman comp. That’ll be good enough. But I’ll miss those Saffas though.
- I just saw the Parramatta squad and they’ve recruited well over the off-season. They’ll probably have one of the best supporting casts (dollar for dollar) in the competition with useful pieces like Lussick, Hipgrave, Cartwright, Papali’i (not the Raiders juggernaut, the Warriors guy), Opacic, Rankin and Oldfield backing up the starters. Not an Eels fan but I reckon they’ll make the finals again this year.
- How good are the Cavs going? They took out the Nets in a shootout yesterday. That’s the Nets with their big three on the court. 147-135? What is this, All Star week? On the bright side, at least Kyrie Irving showed up.
- Question: Can TVWAN please put ESPN back on their programme? Some of us need to watch the NBA. And while I’m at it, what about Fox News? Now that’s a network.
- What I said about the Hunters last week was speculation. That’s what I do. We all want the Hunters to do well. And God willing they’ll make themselves proud in 2021 and give the fans something to cheer about. That’s sport. – PGTP ([email protected])
