CUSTOMARY landowners of the Nadzab Airport, Wampar in Huon Gulf, Morobe will present a petition to the Government today on a list of grievances.

The petition is over the ownership of two land portions include Ngawampog (Nadzab Airport) Portions 401, 402 and Dogoro (Erap station) Portions 391, 389.

Paul Joshua, spokesperson for Orogwangin and Zeaganchon clans from Gabsongkeg village, claimed that there were dubious deals involving Government agents and two other clans over the Nadzab Airport and Erap station land payment.

The grievances include “bureaucratic nepotism within government administrations, fraudulent legal court documents including practices in forging documents and certificates, unlawful deviation of constitutional processes that misled the state to believe, making land payments to the Orognaron and Wanti clans”.

“The evidence at hand requires the government through Morobe Governor Kelly Naru and Huon Gulf MP Ross Seymour, their respective administration heads, to turn up today at Wampar station, to receive the petition and deliver it to Prime Minister Peter O’Neill,” Joshua said.

A restraining court order on May 14 was made against Geam Warrago, Rafed Daniel and Frank Daniel, their servants, agents and accomplishers from getting any payments from the state through Morobe provincial government; until a determination by the land mediation.

It reads in part “the subject of a dispute between Orogwangin against Orognaron and Wanti clans now be subject of an appeal to the District Land Court from a decision of the local land court. There should be no delay of less than one month before the dispute can be heard and determine with prompt action for peace and order”.
