PHARMACISTS in the country will discuss at a conference this week obstacles faced in the management and accessing of medical supplies.
The Pharmaceutical Society of Pa­pua New Guinea is holding its three-day biennial conference in Port Moresby.
Participants include pharmacists, senior pharmaceutical students and representatives from the Department of Health, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and guest
speakers from abroad.
The conference is sponsored by UNFPA.
The conference provides an avenue for exchange of opinions, discussions, reporting and making resolutions on effective ways of procuring and distributing medicine for the people.
The theme of the conference is “Effective management of medical supplies, ensuring nationwide access to medicine”.
