PRIME Minister James Marape has denied claims that he had sacked Finance secretary Dr Ken Ngangan.
Marape in response to questions on the claims of Dr Ngangan’s sacking, told The National that no one had been sacked by his government for doing their job.
“False allegations by Facebook pseudonym that are always anti me and pro PO.
“All public servants especially departmental heads know that under my leadership, I restored integrity and functionality of our agency heads by not going direct to them as prime minister but through their ministers,” Marape said.
It was alleged that Dr Ngangan had refused to pay out millions in payments to cheques approved by Marape resulting in his termination.
“No one has been sacked by my government for doing their job and secretary Ken Ngangan is among few experienced senior departmental heads,” he said.
