PORT Moresby Soccer Association (PMSA) is calling on clubs to register if they are interested in participating at the 2012 PNG Games in Kokopo, East New Britain.
PMSA president Russsel Tsuga said the clubs should submit their K200 affiliation fees to have a voice in the tournament.
The challenge is sanctioned by the association.
Clubs are required to provide a constitution, structure, master list of players and their training venues if they are interested becoming a member.
PMSA general secretary John Mogi warned that clubs who did not pay in full would be removed from the competition.
He said clubs who owed money to the association would also be excluded.
Mogi said he would be calling an extra-ordinary meeting to adopt a new draft constitution.
Meanwhile, the Southern Cup football challenge will be held on Jan 19 at Bisini Soccer Park.
He said teams interested should call Scott Vavine at the PNG Sports Foundation to register.
He said the registration fee is K1,500. There are only 16 spaces available for the men’s and eight for women’s division.
The champions and runners-up in the associations in the region qualify for the tournament.
Mogi said those clubs who are affiliated to the PNG Football Association must submit their interest.
Provincial teams are challenged to attend the Southern Region Cup, and it will give the selectors the chance to pick a strong team for the PNG Games.
