THE Port Moresby Soccer Association (PMSA) season is scheduled for kick-off on July 24 at the Bisini Soccer Ground.
This follows a National Control Centre approval through the Papua New Guinea Sports Foundation (PNGSF) and PNG Football Association (PNGFA).
PMSA general secretary George Bukoya said they met last weekend and discussed the competition details as well as their Covid-19 protocols which provided for no spectators until further notice.
“All Covid-19 protocols will be observed and there will be no spectators until further notice,” he said.
“We will inform all clubs on the details of how the competition will be managed under the protocols.”
The approved structure will see the men’s premier, divisions one to three, and youths (Under-23) while the women’s competition will see the premier, open and youth categories.
According to Bukoya, the 2021 season will only see one round of games with the top-four teams in each division advancing to the finals.
