THE United State Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the New Zealand Aid Programme (NZAP), will be conducting an assessment of the agro-business sector environment in Papua New Guinea.
This will be from Jan 29 – February 12.
The USAID Agribusiness Commercial Legal and Institutional Reform (AgCLIR) assessment team will meet with representatives from key stakeholders in the public sector, private sector and civil society.
The objective is to identify policy, legal and institutional constraints that affect the start-up and growth of agribusinesses in PNG.
The assessment will provide clear, actionable recommendations for reforms to improve the enabling environment for agribusinesses.
The AgCLIR assessment for PNG is funded through generous contributions from Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec), New Zealand Aid Programme and USAID Bureau for Food Security
