PNG Air appoints new manager of flight operations

PNG Air has announced the appointment of Captain Emmanuel Kadiko to the role of manager flight operations.
“We are extremely pleased to announce that Emmanuel has chosen to join us to head up our flight operations department,” said Paul Abbbot, PNG Air acting chief executive officer.
“Emmanuel is a highly-respected aviation professional who brings a wealth of both technical and managerial experience to the role that will greatly benefit the airline and our pilot employees.
“Emmanuel will be a great role model for our young Papua New Guinean pilots.”
Kadiko’s aviation career began with the PNG Defence Force in the late 1970s and progressed through a number of operators culminating in this move to PNG Air.
He has over 40 years’ experience in flying in the often-challenging PNG environment
PNG Air operates ATR 72-600 and Dash 8 aircraft, with 470 flights each week serving 23 ports throughout PNG, carrying over 400,000 passengers each year.
