PAPUA New Guinean contemporary artists can now market, promote and share their talents and skills online, according to an official.
Creative Hub founder Philemon Yalamu said different sectors of the creative industry such as the visual arts, music, performing arts, publishing, advertising, fashion, computer games, software development, arts and crafts, research and development including television and radio among others would bring numerous benefits to the country through creativity.
Yalamu, who is also an artist, entrepreneur and academic said the Creative Hub was an online virtual platform created to link all artists, their profiles and artwork.
“With the establishment of this visual platform, it is hoped that shareholders in the creative industry will be linked together through concepts relative to public private partnership that could help to develop the creative industry,” he said.
Yalamu said this at the launching of the Creative Hub by Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Isi Henry Leonard in Port Moresby on Friday.
He said creative industry in PNG would fill the vacuum in the arts and creative industries to collaborate to develop and promote the art industry in the country.
