PNG Hunters pre-season training starts tomorrow minus prop Albert

THE Papua New Guinea Hunters pre-season training resumes tomorrow as coach Michael Marum looks to trim down his 32-man squad for the 2018 Q-Cup season.
Vice-captain Wellington Albert will not be a part of the squad this season when his Kumul teammates — captain Ase Boas, Watson Boas, Wartovo Puara Jr, Stargroth Amean, Stanton Albert, Enoch Maki, Nixon Put, Moses Meninga and Willie Minoga — join the camp in Port Moresby.
Albert signed a contract to play with Super League club Widnes Vikings in England.
Marum said the squad would be reduced to 25 at the end of the month. The SP Hunters play a preseason match against the Brisbane Broncos in Port Moresby on Feb 24.
