PNG politics in a real mess now

Letters, Normal

THE truth behind the current political situation, as I see it, is the prime minister is a very hard nut to crack.
He is power-hungry and wants to be in power at all costs.
He has closed his ears to calls from the people to either step down or get things done the right way.
The question is who is he really representing?
It is certainly not the people of PNG.
However, he is the founding father of PNG and deserves some respect from the people.
Sir Paulias Matane is a hypocrite because he has gone against his own words when he willingly accepted his controversial reappointment.
Who will now believe him when he preaches against corruption?
Sir Puka Temu is a puppet because he is easily lured by the opposition when he was promised the PM’s post.
He would not be seen as a puppet if he had joined former attorney-general Dr Allan Marat by quitting the government.
Don Poyle cannot see eye-to-eye with Sir Puka.
The new ministers were appointed to appease the coalition partners so they do not leave the NA-led government.
Bart Philemon and Sir Mekere Morauta are making a lot of noise these days.
They do not respect the office of the prime minister as they are making personal attacks against the PM and indirectly, the sacred office.
We will see what the opposition can achieve when it gets into power.
