PAPUA New Guinea will for the first time this year hold its inaugural PNG Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Business Breakfast.
The event aims to promote entrepreneurship in the country, help businesses and individuals find information on available support and encourage more people to set up their own businesses.
The event has attracted key government agencies, development partners, corporate organisations and SMEs.
Founder of the PNG SME Business Magazine and event initiator Andrew Runawery thanked the partners for supporting the inaugural event and thanked those that confirmed their attendance.
“I’d like to acknowledge Department of Commerce acting secretary Joseph Vitliu and his executives for their attendance and support,” Runawery said.
“Business Link Pacific, a New Zealand government funded, multi-country programme operating in the Pacific is giving away K30,000 worth of SME assistance during the event to attending SMEs and other prizes will be given by Digicel and Origin PNG.”

  • Has the K200 million promised by the PM to assist SME businesses hit the commercial banks yet? Too much talking politic. Just like former PM promised BSP K200 million for public service housing loan assistance that never eventuated. All SME owners are waiting to access the much talked about SME assistance by PM JM. Over to you PM
