PNG U16s to assemble tomorrow

PAPUA New Guinea’s Under-16 side that will play the New South Wales Country U16s on Saturday are set to assemble in Port Moresby tomorrow.
The U16 game will be the first one on Saturday at the National Football Stadium and will be followed by the PNG Orchids-Australian Jillaroos women’s test before the main game between the PNG Prime Minister’s 13 and Australia.
The NSW U16 said arrived last Saturday and took part in several activites which included visiting the Cheshire Home in Hohola and Port Moresby General Hospital children’s ward last Sunday.
They traveled to Sogeri on Monday and played a Koiari U16 side.
Today the Young Achievers will travel to Boera to play an Hiri West U16s and return to the city tomorrow to prepare for their match against the PNG U16s
For PNG’s U16 side, the 20-man squad was announced last month by PNGRFL chairman Sandis Tsaka.
PNG’s emerging Kumuls squad comprise nine players from the champion New Guinea Islands side, five from Northern, five from Highlands and one from the Southern Confederate.
