PNG U19 women face Fiji today in OFC qualifier

THE PNG Under-19 women’s soccer team want to be second in the Oceania region after reigning champions New Zealand.
This is what coach Rachel Wadunah has been drumming into the minds of her players as they prepare to face Fiji at Ngahue Reserve in Auckland, New Zealand today.
Wadunah said the game against Fiji would not be an easy one.  “It will be a very important match for us to decide whether we make second place or not,” she said.
A win for PNG would keep them on New Zealand’s tail in the race for France 2018.
“We will sit deep and compact in the middle and when we have chances to counter attack we will push forward to score,” she said.
