Police looking for men who robbed Big Rooster in mall

POLICE are looking for the men who robbed a food outlet at the Vision City Mega Mall in Waigani, Port Moresby, yesterday, reportedly taking all the long weekend’s takings.
National Capital District Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N’dranou said they were investigating the incident which happened around noon at the Big Rooster outlet near the main entrance to the mega mall. He was waiting to be fully briefed.
The restaurant management declined to comment and referred all enqueries to the mall management.
Vision City security manager Sevanaia Koroi was also unable to comment as police were still investigating.
According to a police officer at the scene, who requested anonymity, police first arrested some people then found out they were not involved in the robbery.
Police believed that three armed men were involved.
Police said the men took all the takings from the long weekend.
