Police nab two burglary suspects

POLICE in Yangoru arrested two men from Numbohu village in Kubalia, East Sepik, who are suspects of a break-and-entry at Kubalia Secondary School, according to police.
East Sepik police commander Supt Albert Beli said the men were nabbed during a police dawn raid yesterday at the village.
He said police confiscated three homemade shotguns and some Kubalia Secondary School uniforms.
He said the suspects were being detained at the Yangoru Police Station and would be charged.
Supt Beli said five suspects were involved in the break-in and the three that were still at large were known to police.
He said the five were linked to a series of offences in the district.
“I am calling on those who know the other three suspects who are still on the run to report them to the police,” he said.
“If the suspects are caught in the house of any relatives or anyone in the village, they will be also be charged with harbouring criminals.”
