A POLICE recruitment team is attending a week’s training at Pacific Institute of Leadership and Governance (PLAG) to improve their skills on the enlistment processes.
Director of human resource management (HRM) for police division Bob Visikel Kerry said it was good to partner with another Government institution to receive training.
Kerry said police HRM is set to arrange further training for officers from other divisions to receive similar training in near future.
He said the provincial police commanders (PPCs) were the next set arranged to attend PILAG for training.
Kerry said in the recruitment section, they received lots of comments from social media and public and wanted to improve in developing skills sets for recruiting officers to go out and select the best police officers in order to realise the Government’s intensions.
PILAG chief executive officer Michael Barobe said they have quality trainers and resource to give quality training to public servants, however, he said most government departments tend to receive training elsewhere.
